Through Swiss Integ, players will be educated about the environment, clean trash and catch Pokemon as a group
[Zurich, April 29th, 2019] –
May is just around the corner and people from all over the world worked together to clean the environment on streets, beaches, parks and other places in need of some tender love. We also participated as the first and only official partnership with Niantic and The Pokemon Company for Switzerland, with volunteers coming from all over to attend our Earth Day Trash Cleanup Event. We hope this encourages more Non-profit organizations in Switzerland to step up next year.
According to futuregamereleases.com, Niantic has disclosed that as of a few days ago, over 5000 people officially participated in the event, (not RSVP’d via registration, but actually showed up). We know this as well as for our Event we had to report the actual participation of people involved, as well as the amount of trash cleaned.

The Second Tier of 5000 participants means Ground-type Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild and you’ll have the chance to catch Shiny Diglett!
5000 people mean that the world will receive the second tier according to Niantic and their partner Playmob’s website: https://niantic.playmob.com/
However, April isn’t over yet and some last minute Trash cleanups will have most likely taken place last weekend, so We may still reach 7000 and get the highest tier and goal they have set out. On Niantic’s website, it states that the rewards will be rolled out within 48 hours of the event ending, which will most likely mean at the start of May, giving also time for the non-profits to submit their forms of how many people actually participated.
But until the announcement of the actual numbers, we have some more news to roll out. Lovelstzy Association is partnering one more time with Niantic, The Pokemon Company and Playmob for an extended Earth Day/Month Event.
That’s right, it was thanks to some of the volunteers from the last Pokemon Earth Day Event,
Between the interest of having another event and making it an on-going concept, as well as some of them organizing a special pre-release screening of Detective Pikachu. We are going to be on their Earth Day cleanup map a little bit longer.
This time though, we are changing things up a bit by joining forces with Rocco Brizzante to co-organize this event. Rocco volunteered at last weeks Earth Day Clean Up and will be working together to have some activities inspired by Detective Pikachu for participants.
Someone else suggested creating a community music video for the event with the Original Pokemon Theme Song (by Jason Paige) featuring cleaning the environment.
We will also be interviewing people and gathering information for the Swiss Integ program. This is to see how people in Switzerland are affected when others throw away trash on the streets and parks. This will be integrated into the upcoming interactive and educational Swiss Integ Mobile app, whose purpose is to cost-effectively share and exchange knowledge in Switzerland for newcomers and long stay residents alike. Switzerland is probably one of the cleanest countries in the world, if not THE cleanest as a whole.

Swiss Integ Educational Platform and Upcoming App
However, the volunteers still had Trash to clean up last week, why? Because although Switzerland invests money into hiring cleanup crews patrolling the streets, there are always areas that can’t be reached. In order to truly start minimizing the amount of trash and recyclables piling up, it will require a mindset change. This is the purpose of Swiss Integ, once we know the rules and how it affects others, we start making internal changes as opposed to just “Don’t do that because it’s bad” or “Do that because it’s good”.
The event is being held on the 9th of May in Zurich Switzerland, please register in advance on the Official Website
